Together We Saved Our Countryside

1,400 acres of precious farmland protected from industrial development

Our Victory, Our Future
Rolling hills and farmland of Wilson County

The Heart of Middle Tennessee

From the cedar glades of Tucker's Crossroads to the limestone creeks that wind through our valleys, Wilson County represents the best of Tennessee's natural heritage. Our community stood together to protect what matters most.

Our united voice defeated Hillwood's industrial park. Now we work to preserve all of Wilson County for generations to come.

Our Mission Moving Forward

Protecting Our Heritage

Wilson County's 147,000 residents chose rural life for a reason. We're committed to preserving the rolling pastures, ancient cedar trees, and clear limestone creeks that define our home.

Supporting Local Agriculture

From the fertile fields near Lebanon to the family farms of Watertown and Mount Juliet, agriculture is our backbone. We fight to keep farmland in the hands of farmers, not developers.

Responsible Growth

We're not against progress - we're for smart, sustainable development that respects our rural character and doesn't overwhelm our schools, roads, and communities.

How We Won

In 2024, when Hillwood Enterprises targeted 1,400 acres along I-40 between Linwood and Bluebird Road for massive industrial development, our community responded with unprecedented unity.

Over 1,000 petition signatures. Dozens of tractors in peaceful protest. Packed planning meetings. Yard signs dotting the countryside like wildflowers.

The Wilson County Commissioners heard us loud and clear: This is farming country, and we aim to keep it that way.

What We're Preserving

  • Cedar Glades: Rare limestone ecosystems found only in Middle Tennessee
  • Family Farms: Generational lands that feed our communities
  • Clean Waterways: Spring-fed creeks that flow through limestone bedrock
  • Wildlife Habitat: Home to deer, wild turkey, and countless songbirds
  • Rural Character: The peace and beauty that makes Wilson County special

The Land We Saved

The 1,400 acres between Tucker's Crossroads and the Cumberland River remain in agricultural use, as our founders intended. This victory ensures that:

  • Our schools won't be overwhelmed by industrial traffic
  • Our aquifers and springs stay protected
  • Future generations can farm this fertile soil
  • Wilson County remains a place where neighbors know each other
